Jennifer Haston-Maciejewski is the lead teacher of an alternative placement program and behavior specialist/coach at Greenfield-Central High School. After receiving her training in Yoga and mindfulness, she opened her own yoga studio and started a program called Stop.Breathe.Be. Her consultation program focuses on restorative practices, replacing detentions and suspensions with a mindfulness program, skills to implement mindfulness into your classroom, and developing a personal mindfulness practice.
She is a contributing author in several books and also sits on the board of
directors for the Coalition of Schools Educating Mindfully. Jennifer is a nature
therapy practitioner and has recently converted an old school bus into a tiny
home on wheels for herself and her family of 6 to travel in during the summer!
She genuinely believes that behavior and classroom management is less about managing student behavior and more about managing yours as a teacher. Jennifer continues to push educators outside of their comfort zone and ask teachers reflection questions in order to bring out the best in them, empower them, and make them realize just how much power they truly hold!
